Transdisciplinarity and transculturality

The NIHMP adopts the transcultural and transdisciplinary approach to meet the demands for care made by people from many countries, many of whom just arrived in Italy, pursuing this approach in the most appropriate manner and in accordance with the meanings, the language and the "context" of disease production.
The acceptation and enhancement of the diversity of cultural, social, historical and political  expressions as the backdrop of the demand for care and which affects it, requires a specific prepared staff, knowledge of cultural mediation skills and cooperation between different social and health care professionals, including medical anthropology.
