World report on the health of refugees and migrants (2022)

WHO-INMP_World_Health_Report

The WHO World report on the health of refugees and migrants is the first publication outlining evidence, opportunities and challenges to improve the health and well-being of refugees and migrants in the six WHO Regions (Africa, Europe, Eastern Mediterranean, South-East Asia, Americas, and Western Pacific).

82,000 documents, from scientific and grey literature, published in the official languages of the WHO, were collected and analysed by a team of experts summarising evidence concerning chronic and infectious diseases, reproductive and maternal and child health, mental and occupational health, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to health status, the Report analyses the main determinants of health and the barriers to healthcare for migrants and refugees in the different regional contexts.

It was developed under the strategic lead and technical direction of Santino Severoni, Director, WHO Health and Migration Programme and was produced with the scientific and financial contribution of INMP and the collaboration of several international experts.
